My husband and I have been happily married for three years. When someone hears this, along with the fact that Mark is eight years older than me, the next inevitable question is "When are you going to have kids?" I suppose the question stems from the norm in Christian culture: get married (fairly young), and after a few years have kids. Or at least have children in the five year plan. I think this is a wonderful thing. I love that I have the opportunity to exist in a culture where family is valued; however, when I respond to the question about kids with "Mark and I don't know if we are going to have kids" I get one of two responses:...
