A Streetcar Named Desire
Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the press night of Scottish Ballet’s A Streetcar Named Desire. Scottish Ballet have a very positive and inclusive attitude towards bloggers. As a result, I’ve attended a few productions over the past year. This one was exceptional though.
Whenever I go to the ballet, I find the dancing, costumes and scenery beautiful, but I’m not always engaged emotionally. Streetcar was a totally different experience. From the very first moment the dancers came on stage I was completely caught up in the story. It was modern, minimalist, brave, raw and totally captivating.
