Rosie's Diner Once upon a time, this place used to serve up the best diner food in the state! Now permanently closed, Rosie's Diner is a spot of nostalgia of the 50's. Brett and I took a trip on US 131 north to 14 Mile Road in Rockford, Michigan to scout out the old dining cars! This diner was originally opened in Little Ferry, New Jersey, as the Silver Dollar Diner. The diner was located on U.S. Route 46 when it first opened in the 1940s!In the 1970s and 80s, a series of commercials featured Rosie, a no-nonsense waitress who was featured in the Bounty paper towel commercials. So, the diner was renamed Rosie's and in 1991, it was brought to Rockford and soon it was serving diner food...
