I am floating on my back. Easily, steadily, restfully and peacefully.
The pool water acts as a shield, a sound proof barrier, preventing the harmony of music and distant laughter from entering into my heart and soul. I am at peace, but I am also torn because I so desperately want to hear the sound; the sound of something beautiful.
