I'm not usually a fan of purple, but I do like orchids so I'm about 50-50 on Pantone's so-called color of the year. Honestly though, color to me is one of the least sensible trends. The colors you should wear and surround yourself with shouldn't be decided by trends but rather what colors you like and what looks good on you. As consumers we only have so much control--I love a particular shade of dark green but I'm hard-pressed to find it in dresses, coats, accessories, etc. Until the color becomes trendy I'll only find it every now and then while colors I'm not particularly fond of will grow on me due to endless exposure.
