The Oversized Coat
There’s something about putting on an oversized coat that always makes me feel like I am getting a big warm hug.
What ever happened to the chivalrous act of a man putting his coat over a woman’s shoulders when she is cold? I will never forget the first man in my life that did this for me. We drove 30 minutes to dinner that night for the best seafood the area had to offer. The South Texas chill had set in at its low point for the season and we stepped out of the restaurant, bellies full to the max with fried shrimp and a delicious seafood platter. He gracefully and eloquently tossed his coat over my shoulders without the slightest complaint...
