Taking Shape
After seeing a few belted outerwear looks on Pinterest recently, I was intrigued by the idea and finally decided to try it out for myself. I love how it helps create shape, defines the waist & adds a dose of polish to an otherwise boxy pea coat. This method would work equally as well with a longer-length dress coat, trench or oversized menswear topper. Tip: if you have a style that comes with a self-tie in the same fabric as your coat, try removing it & use a metal or leather belt instead (see here for more inspiration).
