Is it wrong to assume that almost everyone had to read The Outsiders at some point during their middle school or high school career? I read it in 7th grade and I loved it. We got to watch the movie then, too, but I think I liked the book better. I realize that I never really talk about books here. I used to read a lot more before college and during the beginning of college. There was one summer where I read about 40 books! I don't read as much now, but that doesn't mean I don't still love it. There's nothing like an incredible book and that feeling of connection and meaning behind the words that someone else so thoughtfully and meticulously...
