The First Thrift
Happy 2014! My first outfit post of the year couldn’t be more basic, but it’s still noteworthy because this coat is actually the first piece I thrifted ever since I moved home. Thrifting here is less common than it is in the US, not because we don’t have thrift stores, but because there is no system like Goodwill and the various consignment stores. Here the shops actually ship their stuff in from other places and you just have to dig through piles and piles of stuff hoping you will find something great and not just a cheap old knock-off. Most of the time you’re better off buying new anyway, because it’s not that much more expensive....
