Christmas Comes But Once A Year
Or three times a year, if you're part of our family. We celebrated Christmas at our house on the 23rd. Then we made a quick little drive (that should have taken 3 hours, but took 4 1/2 because of an insane stop at Walmart to pick up the ingredients for s'mores) to Alabama. I mean, because you can't go the backwoods of Alabama when it's going to be cold without planning to make s'mores to go with your fire. But really, who in their right mind ventures into Walmart on Christmas Eve?? Apparently, everyone in the city of Selma. That evening was filled with pizza making, Christmas candy eating and present opening… because that's how my husband's family does...
