Ahoy There, Sailor!
Something about this outfit reminds me of the V-J Day in Times Square photograph where the sailor is kissing the nurse. I suppose it's the mixture of a sailor dress and hat, but also that the hat sort of reminds me of an old-fashioned nurse's hat. A classic black peacoat also always reminds me of past times such as the 40's when that photograph was taken. Oh, how I wish I had a time machine. I would love to see the world before all this modernization and technology happened. I'd love to see my hometown and places like New York City in those years and even further back to when they were first built. I find it so alluring and fascinating. ...
