From blog night lights
A Little Respect coat: 1940's equestrian coat via Lovely Things Vintage dress: vintage via Maven's Vintage boots: Sartori Gold belt: via thrift Nothing has given me respect for tailors or seamstresses like garments from the 1940's. Each stitch in this jacket is neat - it looks hand-sewn. Other than a couple moth holes in the cuff, it's in amazing condition and really warm! I didn't get the pleating detail on the back, but it's very elegant. Understanding the time and care that someone has put into a garment can give the wearer a kind of reverence or respect for a person who is able to construct something both so beautiful and strong.
