Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao and to the rest of the Philippines for winning the big fight today! I know it’s silly to talk about boxing all of a sudden, but with all the recent calamities that have hit our nation, I just cant help but rejoice at this win today. We needed this burst of hope and joy. The people of Tacloban, Leyte, Samar, Cebu, Palawan and the rest of visayas that were hit needed this win. I felt so much hope when I saw photos of people huddled together inside gyms and evacuation centers watching the game and cheering on Pacman, despite the great loss that they just experienced.
