Current Look: Blue
Nineteen Forties, meet Twenty Twelve. I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm a huge proponent of the return of the proper lady in terms of style, especially the renewed focus on the skirt (see the Love Affair in the Afternoon spread in this month's Vogue). Mix in a large helping of minimalism, and we've got the makings of my new go-to silhouette. Oh, and the best part: it's ridiculously comfortable. My skinny pants might be in big trouble.This swoon-worthy silk skirt was part of the most old lady, Golden Girls-esque set I've ever seen. The jacket might be too geriatric even by my standards, but I saw the potential in the skirt. Maybe I'll cut the sleeves off the jacket...
