In the afternoon after lunch it is hard for the kids (I teach 4th and 5th graders) to make it to the end of the school day without using the restroom, so I take them all on a restroom break an hour before our day ends. The students are given the opportunity to use the restroom and get water, and when they are done there are several picnic tables for them to sit at and wait for the others. Today during our restroom break we were sitting at the picnic tables and a group of kiddos were pointing up at the fluffy clouds in the sky and making analogies to what the clouds look like. Their minds can be so creative at times, and it was fun to hear what their comparisons were. I...
