On the viewer this shot looked really bright--the camera was only 4 feet away from me, with the flash on, in the brightest room in the house, directly across from a huge window. No, I'm not a skilled photographer, but I know my old camera would have done just fine with this shot. And why does my head look all distorted?? Ugh.
