From blog Vintage in a Modern World
A Vintage Nurse My Halloween outfit was thrown together in a hurry. I just spent the night watching movies with Britt and handing out candy, so I decided not to spend any money on a costume. Just dressing as "1950's girl" or "flapper" seemed too much of a cop-out (that's how I dress most days!), so I dressed up as a "vintage nurse". The cape and cap are part of a real vintage nurses uniform from the Galt General Hospital. My best guess is that they date from the 1950s/60s. I paired them with a long skirt and white button-up blouse, which was as close to a nurses uniform as I had. It was more Victorian nurse inspired but there was definitely a lack of any historical accuracy...
