a year older

Well another year older and none the wiser. This birthday pleasantly blindsided me, it just snuck up and surprised me – one minute it was the beginning of October and the next the month was coming to an end and I was turning a year older.
It’s so strange that this birthday came up without my realizing, it makes me think I must truly be getting old. I used to get so excited...
