A Night With Don and Dan
My friends! Yesterday was one of the best nights of my year. Not only did I get to see Dan Savage, one of my favourite columnists about sex, love and activism at Litfest, but my old city councillor, a progressive, charismatic, engaging, quite frankly visionary politician in the making, become Edmonton's new mayor. My evening started with drinks at Tavern 1903, where overpriced, mediocre cocktails were consumed, followed by dashing to the Winspear centre to meet up with twelve others to hear Dan Savage speak. If you aren't familiar with who I am talking about, he has a popular show on MTV called Savage Love. I was blown away!!! While I appreciate the controversy...
