A Skirt Called Paddington
I MADE A SKIRT. Look! It took an extreme amount of faffing but this is par for the course where me and crafty things are concerned. I spent most of Sunday blankly staring at some pattern pieces on the floor and trying to get my head round how it would work. I failed. The fabric wasn't the right shape and size and it was all far too difficult. So I went rogue, ditched that pattern, made up the skirt from my favourite Simplicity 2444 frock and attached it to the waistband of the skirt pattern I was considering originally . It all worked out rather well in the end. And this was the first time I've ever done a proper waistband or mixed two...
