SHE WORE WHAT?! Noir Notions
Dark, dreary days put me in a mood. One where I want to stoke up the fire, keep the curtains closed and watch old black and white, film noir movies on TCM.
I seem to spend more time watching old television, than new. When you surround yourself with vintage furnishings, cocoon yourself in retro clothes and then immerse yourself in scenes from the past, it is difficult not to get swept away by the plot.
Yesterday, TCM ran a string of silent movies. I have seen a few, but they are not normally my cup of tea. Yesterday though, I was pulled in by The Scarlet Letter (1927) starring Lillian Gish and Lars Hanson. I was...
