The Importance Of Shoes
I don’t want to state a cliche, but the shoes really make the outfit. I was going to wear this with my oxfords, then I realized it would be a weird mix between twee and frumpy, so I switched to these boots. I used to be vehemently against wearing ankle boots with skirts because they will make my Shetland pony legs look even stumpier, but after seeing Lucy Liu spotting the look on Elementary , I was inspired to try it myself. I’m never going to be as fabulous as Joan Watson, but at least I’ve found another way to wear these boots. And of course, they’re falling apart just as I start wanting to wear them more.
