Untruths More and more salespeople are figuring out that more and more people are interested in buying locally made goods. That's great, except when people lie! I bought the necklace I'm wearing from a jewelry store chain which started in Seattle. I really liked this necklace and when I bought it, I was told it was made by a local artist. I looked it up later, and it was made in California! As far as I'm concerned, a thousand miles away is not "local," although I'm fine supporting artists and anything made in the United States is worth considering.
