Manning Memorial Lighthouse
Eric and I went up north to Empire, Michigan to see Manning Memorial Lighthouse! I've stayed in Empire before and had no idea this one was on the beach so close to town. You head west from the inn on the corner, and you hit a cute little park/beach. This lighthouse is a bit different than the ones we've visited. It's the second newest one in Michigan! It's officially called Robert H. Manning Memorial Lighthouse. Mr. Manning was a longtime resident of Empire. He often enjoyed fishing, and would return from his boat trips late at night.
