Stony Plain Multicultural Centre Last Sunday my mother and I went to the Stony Plain Multicultural Centre, in a small suburban town about twenty minutes west of the city. My mother was an educator for many years, and her favourite field trips with her kids were to this small museum. While teeny tiny, the SPMC shows what life was like for early settlers to the area, serves as the townships archives, and celebrates local movers and shakers throughout the towns history. It was a warm, pleasant afternoon, and the perfect excursion on a Autumn afternoon. If you ever make your way out there, stop in and have one of their homemade pies. DIVINE.
