I finally got pictures with the giant orange in Dixon. It took some extra cojones on my part because it’s just off a busy freeway exit and across the street from an even busier gas station. Although the taco stand built around the orange is closed, the driveway gets a fair amount of traffic as locals cut through a dirt road shortcut behind the building. I tolerated the stares, but decided the photo session was over when two cars collided on the road out front and then pulled into the parking lot to argue about who was at fault.
