Alaska: Mushers and Whales
During our week long adventure in Alaska, we stopped by a Mushers Camp in Juneau. What is a Mushers Camp you might ask? Maybe you already know, but I didn't know what a Musher was until I went to Alaska. A Musher, in a nutshell, is the driver of a dog sled. And what amazing people they are! And the dogs that pull their sleds are equally so. Our visit to the Mushers Camp to ride on a dog sled was by far my favorite adventure in Alaska. Since it is summer and there wasn't snow on ground, we rode in a cart, but it was still such a thrill. After our sled ride, we spent time at the Mushers Camp and met the newborn sled dogs.
