Sad Day
Just to preface, I'm going to say something really terrible and then change the subject completely.... I found out today that one of my firm's clients, who I've worked with recently, passed away in jail. I don't know the exact cause of death, but I had been talking to his family and received a letter from him recently saying that he was having kidney problems. I don't know him or his family on any level more personal than a work relationship, but it still hit me really hard. I had just been negotiating a good plea for him and now he's gone.
