Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse
The second lighthouse on our trip along the thumb was Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse. It's only about 10 minutes away from Harbor Beach Lighthouse , actually! I loved touring the thumb because you could follow one highway the entire way and hit lighthouse after lighthouse. That's my kind of highway! This one reminded me a ton of Sturgeon Point Lighthouse . I was looking at my Timehop app realizing Eric and I took our lighthouse weekend trip exactly one year ago. I think I'm going to have to make this a yearly tradition! ;) Pointe aux Barques means "Point of Little Boats". It is one of the ten oldest lighthouses in Michigan. It's one of the most dangerous...
