snapshots of montreal
For various reasons I haven't taken that many pictures in Montreal yet, or actually even spent that much time in the city (something I intend to rectify this week). I arrived in time to celebrate my friend's birthday, and have only done a bit of exploring since then. I like the city so far. The apartment we've rented is in Verdun, which on the downside is not very central but on the upside is a very real neighbourhood, full of working class francophones, so I feel we're getting to see a glimpse of real life that staying in Mile End might not show us. I've only superficially visited a few neighbourhoods, drunk some coffee, written in some cafés, insisted...
