How many layers of outerwear is considered 'too much'? The more the merrier, I'd confess, though you may want to avoid coming across as over-aggressive with a mountain of woolen coats stacked over your shoulders... Here's a look where I played down a pool of filigree prints in gilded navy with unfailing solid cobalt.

Believe me when I say my cheeky, yet hopefully subtle, introduction of yellow isn't meant to do your head in. Again, the whole concept of 'too much, too little'...
