Basics - making and modifying
I've been adding more basics to my wardrobe this past week. I don't know about you, but I can never seem to find a nice t-shirt on the weekend. First, I made a quick Alexa tee - photographed appallingly in the bright afternoon sun!! The colours are far deeper than pictured. This pattern from Tessuti is a real wardrobe staple. It has a classic shape, and is super fast and easy to make. For this version I used a cotton lycra knit from The Remnant Warehouse . It has a spooky tree looking border print which I just had to buy, but then found myself wondering how to use it. Simple is often best.
