I'm not typically a label-whore and I refuse to spend more than $20 on a blouse, but when one of my bosses offered up a bag of her cast-off pieces from Ann Taylor and Banana Republic I couldn't say no. This top (Ann Taylor) is made of super comfortable high-quality silk and I love the embellished neckline but honestly, I shouldn't be allowed to wear clothing that costs as much as this one probably did. By lunchtime I had already used a Tide pen twice and before the end of the day the edge of the pleats were beginning to fray, but despite my glaring inability to preserve nice things and the constant anxiety that comes with wearing them, I loved this outfit.
