I have an unhealthy attraction to kitschy prints, so I had to have this retro travel fabric when I found it last week. The colors are warm and will pair well with the reds, yellows and browns that I'm drawn to throughout autumn, and just looking at those hat-boxes and suitcases makes me want to catch the next transcontinental train! In keeping with the travel theme I added my airplane earrings (which is just this side of costume-y, I know) and I wore my sewing machine ring to subtly brag that yes, this fabulous skirt is homemade. One. Of. A. Kind.And since I'm on the topic of sewing (it's National Sewing Month, didn't you know?), I'm so excited to report that tonight...
