This weekend my sisters came to town for a short visit so we took them to a local Europub for pretzels, beer and beer-cheese soup in celebration of Oktoberfest. The weather was incredible, sunny and brisk- ideal for a weekend spent outdoors on foot. For the occasion (the arrival of fall, that is) I dressed up a spring/summer-print skirt with an autumnal color palette (mustard, cranberry and olive are atop the list of hues I'm craving this season) and kept the entire ensemble casual with minimal, functional accessories. It gave me great joy to pull my boots from the back of the closet for the first time in months. Autumn is exciting for many reasons but right now...
