For most of the summer, if I'm not going to work, I live in my flip flops. Of course I've heard time and again that the flip flop is pretty much the worst shoe for your feet, which is why I was delighted to hear about Orthaheel. Designed by a podiatrist, Orthaheel sandals actually help eliminate pain in the feet, knees, legs and lower back. They have thick soles, good arch support, and nice soft straps.
