Bunkers & Shabby Piers
I can't remember which storm it was, but it was either Irene or Sandy that totally demolished the pier at this park. I remember the whole beach looked different and there were pieces of wood and random things strewn about. I'm not sure if they fixed it up a little since then, or if they're just leaving it dilapidated. Either way, it's kinda cool looking. The park also used to be a military fort and there are still bunkers there from the late 1800s! The grass has grown on hills over the bunkers and you can just sit up there and take in the view of the water. The grassy areas around the bunkers make for a nice picnicking spot too...or...
