I'm not sure how long we've heard rumors that Google Friend Connect (GFC) would be going away (I'm thinking at least a few years) but it sounds like as of July 1, 2013, Google really will be doing away with it. GFC allows you to follow along and get updates in your blog list when any blogger publishes a new post. That being said, Bloglovin is a great alternative to this issue.
