Your Baby Is Magical (and so is my dog)
Do you think it’s offensive if when people talk to me about their kids, I respond with a story about my dog? Oliver is like my child, but I've noticed a weird stare I get after finishing a tale about my pup and the cute thing he did the other day (like wag his little tail when I come into the room even if I've only been gone for two minutes). That "are you kidding me" stare prompts me to end my stories with something like "but its nothing like having a kid," which usually fends off the rabid mother beasts, but hot dam, that death glare can be brutal. Truth be told, I really don't mind when people talk to me about their kids...I mean I'm not interested, but I don't...
