ISABEL THE GREAT.
In this fast paced fashion generation we live in, where designers go from space suits to cowboy boots from one season to the other, i can´t help but commend Isabel Marant´s compulsion to stay true to her aesthetics. Each season, she takes the bohemian/ folklore trend to another level.
I can´t even put to words how my admiration for her ability to make a completely simple wooden heeled sandal (which looks like something from a tourist shop btw) very desirable to the eyes. In times where Celine, Margiela and what-have-you implies that less is more, Marant gives us the opposite. MORE IS DEFINITELY MORE. Paisley, lace, studs, leather.. Everything goes.. I love...
