San Isidro 2013
We have come to Madrid because we could not miss the festivities of San Isidro, the patron of my city =) As is the tradition, we were dressed as “ chulapos” of XIX century. We enjoyed the Pradera of San Isidro, and of course the rich Spanish gastronomy: paella, prawn, seafood , fried fish ... And of course the typical San Isidro donuts : the intelligent, the dumb and Santa Clara donuts, and the legendary squid sandwich of the capital, not to mention the delicious “churros” with hot chocolate of “San Ginés”. In the opening speech, we enjoyed giant carnival figures, we danced a chotis, and we attended a concert of “zarzuelas”...
