Dinner at Sportsman!
We've wanted to visit the Sportsman at Seasalter for ages but never managed to plan ahead and book for their tasting menu which they only serve on weekdays. It's only a 1 hr drive from London and although close to the lovely and more well known Whitstable in Kent, it's quite remote and isolated which makes its quality, consistency over the years and achievements (1 Michelin star since 2009 and one of the most characteristic examples of what a gastropub should be). I doubt if I would ever dare to enter this place if I just happened to see it while passing by, but this is a destination restaurant and all diners have booked their slot well in advance.
