What’s In A Name?
So this is a rambling post that has nothing to do with anything, because I have nothing to say about the outfit…
My real full name is Minh Duc (pronounced “Ming Duke”) – meaning “bright virtues” in Sino-Vietnamese. It’s a very masculine name, sort of the equivalent of being named, I don’t know, Ryan James (though with all the hipster parents these days, that line is getting blurred.) Man, if I had a dollar every time somebody said “Oh I thought you were a guy”…
Anyway, it led to this straight-out-of-a-sitcom situation after I graduated high school. This military-looking dude stopped by our house...
