I have some, hopefully, good news!! My camera, which you will all be sick of hearing me complain about and which has been sat in a shop waiting to be repaired for 2 months, may be getting repaired under warranty in the UK!! After 5 phone calls to Canon UK, several unanswered emails, several answered emails to Canon US (I got much quicker replies from them) and even a long phone call to Canon US (that's gonna cost me =(), they've finally said they'll take a look at it in the UK and try to honour the warranty.
