What is your favorite rock or crystal? In the dusty tourist haven of Temecula, CA I found this Desert Rose Selenite while wandering the stalls of a farmers market. It was $5, bought from a weathered woman with wild gray hair and eyes like weak tea. She told me that Desert Rose was the result of lightning striking sand in the desert, but I have yet to find confirmation of that.
