Truth time: I've never really put much effort into Valentine's Day. Actually I don't put much effort into any holiday. On one hand, I'm rarely disappointed. On the other hand, my poor future children will have to fend for themselves when it comes to anything besides birthdays and Christmas. My kids will be the ones that show up to school with the weird Valentine's that no one wanted because it was the only box left at Wal-Greens from the night before. Their Halloween costumes will be store-bought. Easter baskets will be non-existent.
