Velvet Suit
Doesn’t a velvet suit sound delicious? I paired my velveteen dress and velvet blazer together to create a velvet ensemble. Blazer, The Limited. Shirt, INC (cut from a swapped dress). Dress, NY & Co (shortened). Belt, thrifted. Tights, We Love Colors. Boots, Nine West. Rings, gift, thrifted, and heirloom. Bag, Fossil (gift) When it comes to comfort, velveteen has an edge over velvet because it stretches. But velvet does a better job camouflaging lumps and bumps. This dress shows every layer underneath the midsection: shirt, slip, tights, underpants. Maybe I need a velvet girdle to complete the look.
