The Turkey Diaries: New Year's Eve Aftermath
Just like many people over the age of twenty-one, Jeremy and I spent the first day of the new year sleeping in and recovering from the previous night's activities. We didn't wake up in time for the hostel breakfast so we decided to wander around the streets of Istanbul, still covered in last night's filth, searching for some decent food options and pomegranate juice (which I dreamt about that night, hence my determination to find some). Jeremy was normal and ended up picking up a Simit (which is the equivalent of a bagel in Turkey) while I opted for another one of those delicious fish sandwiches on the Galata bridge .
