Sometimes, it feels as though no matter what your body type, there's something negative to be said about it. If you're not curvy, you aren't feminine or sexy enough. If you are curvy, you're "fat". There are entire industries built around maintaining a certain physique and look and the advertising intentionally targets insecurities.
