Party like it's 1933 (or there abouts)
For my birthday at the end of last year, I told my friends to pretend it was any year between 1920 - 1940 and hence dress (and act) accordingly for my birthday party. We went to Centennial Park, we played croquet, had Pimms and lemonade, danced to classic tunes and ate cucumber sandwiches. Frankly, my friends did an amazing job as you can see just from digging about in their wardrobes. I wore a beautiful 1930s Maxi Dress from Dear Golden with art deco star hair pins, blue glass filigree cocktail ring and filigree bangle from Jean Jean Vintage.
